TeachFront Was Born

Dr. Valentine recognized the assessment bottleneck limiting meaningful student feedback and began developing TeachFront's core vision. 


Platform Built & First Students Onboarded

The platform launched with the first cohort of students experiencing TeachFront's grading capabilities. 


Team Expansion at University of Nebraska

Dr. Valentine expanded the team with students and developers at the University of Nebraska, building foundational expertise and classroom insights. 


Pitch Competition Wins

Early validation of TeachFront's vision through pitch competition success, confirming the need for streamlined alternative assessment solutions.

Expanded Use Across Multiple Disciplines

TeachFront expanded beyond Dr. Valentine's courses, supporting additional professors and 500+ students across the University of Nebraska system. 


Global Rebranding Launch

Dr. Stephanie Valentine

Founder, CEO & Associate Professor of Practice

Dr. Stephanie Valentine is an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she teaches Computer Science and Leadership. As both Founder and CEO of TeachFront, she brings the unique perspective of educator and entrepreneur to the platform.

Dr. Valentine’s experience in the classroom revealed the challenges, and logistical friction involved with Mastery Grading, inspiring her to found TeachFront. Her vision extends beyond just saving time; it’s about giving professors the tools to provide better feedback and create more meaningful learning experiences for their students.

Peyton Peck

Co-Founder & Front-End Development Lead

Peyton brings both technical expertise and authentic user insight to TeachFront. As a student and teaching assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
he has the unique experience of participating in mastery grading with TeachFront from both sides—as a TA and as a student.
